Let's read the following explanation about Passive voice

A.   Definition of passive voice

Passive voice means that a subject is a recipient of a verb’s action.

B.   Formula of  Passive Voice

The formula of passive voice is different with active voice. In order to construct a good passive voice, there are some formula that is based on the tenses, namely

S + TO BE + V3

Simple Present ( Bentuk waktu sekarang )

Formula : S + is/am/are + V3

Example :

The surface grinding machine is operated by me

A book is read by her

Simple Past ( Bentuk waktu lampau )

Formula : S + was/were + V3

Example :

The world peace gong monument was inaugurated by the president

The cookies were made by my mother
